Intent

At Ashcroft, we want our children to be confident and excited explorers who are intrigued by the world in which they live. We want to provide our children with opportunities to investigate and enquire in order to support them in developing greater curiosity.

We want our children to be confident in asking questions and to have chances to find the answers for themselves, encouraging them to be involved in their learning.  Asking questions is an invaluable life skill, and we want our children to be able to explore solutions to problems, recognising that there can be more than one solution.

We aim to develop our children into considerate young people who care about the plants and animals in the world around them and have an awareness of the impact of science on their lives e.g. reducing plastic waste.

We want to provide our children with a broad, balanced and progressive curriculum which is stimulating and exciting for them.
