CURRICULUM INTENT

We want our children to be prepared for their digital future. Our children are very young and innocent and at this stage in their lives we want them to have a secure understanding of how to stay safe online. We will also teach them the importance of being kind, responsible and respectful online and how this is equally as important in their real lives.

We want the children of Ashcroft to develop the basic skills of computing, such as word processing, computer art and programming. The children will build upon these skills as they move into Key Stage 2. Developing confidence using the computer, tablets and programmable toys will set them up for a secure technological future.
