As a result, our children will become confident users of technology and will be able to use it to accomplish a wide variety of goals, both at home and in school.

Ashcroft children will also have a secure and comprehensive knowledge of the implications of technology and digital systems. This is important in a society where technologies and trends are rapidly evolving.

The large majority of children will achieve age-related expectations in Computing. A child working at age-related expectations should be able to meet the success criteria for each lesson by the end of the unit. However, it should also be noted that some children may take longer to grasp certain skills and concepts and therefore may achieve a success criterion from a lesson at a later date. We will use the observations made across each of the lessons to determine an overall snapshot of a child’s understanding of the content from that unit.
